More on the strike: Be careful what you wish for

Bellevue teachers and the Bellevue School District remain at odds over the issues. Tonight, the district will hold a town-hall type of meeting. I look forward to reading about it in tomorrow's paper.

At this point, I feel like the district should force the teachers union to take everything it's asking for -- and then remind the teachers to be careful what you wish for.

Want more $$$? Sure! Here are your four new students!

Want to design your own curriculum? Sure! So sorry that you don't have that time to take that family vacation this year!

Want increased health care? Sure! Although it's above and beyond what most people in the real world get, you receive it -- and we're so sorry about ending the art and music classes. Do you mind explaining to those teachers why they lost their jobs? (It might be a sore spot with them, since they were on the picket line, too, but, oh, well.)
