Flimsy argument.

Mark and I have this argument all the time. He is against I am for. I guess the point of the bumper sticker is that there are those of us who do not believe life begins at conception.

While I won't argue the point with you (I think all are entitled to their opinion) How do you end an argument where it's a basic belief?

I don't believe in the bible. Therefore I don't believe gay marriage should be outlawed. I don't believe life begins at conception. Or that a fetuses life is equal to the mothers. So I agree with abortion.

However I don't begrudge you your belief. So I uphold your right to not have a abortion or not be gay. That's how I interpret the bumper sticker and I completely agree with it.

One of my -- and Wimsey's -- favorite dog grrrls! :)

I understand your arguments (and don't begrudge them, either), although they are 1980s' arguments.

Biotechnology has made huge leaps in the past 20 years, so (for instance) premies delivered at 23 weeks of gestation now regularly live, while 24-week fetuses are aborted down the hall.

Science has also determined that at 20 weeks of gestation a fetus feels pain.

The debate has pretty much shifted away from when life begins, as well, because accepted scientific criteria agrees that a new cell, the human zygote, comes into existence at sperm-egg fusion, and the zygote is radically different than either sperm or egg (i.e., my mom is type AB blood; I'm O positive, so I was never her).

No biblical arguments needed.

Oh btw your blog entry caused a huge "discussion" between Mark and I.
